Valparaiso is one of the most culturally rich cities in Chile. It was declared World Heritage in 2003 by the UNESCO due to its historical importance as it was the mainport in the Pacific during the year 1914. This city was a melting pot, and a place where people from France, England, Germany, Yugoslavia, Holland and Chile mixed . It stands out for its spontaneous architecture built on 41 colorful hills.
